FIM MiniGP Czech Republic Series to launch in 2024!
A new competition joins the FIM MiniGP World Series on the Road to MotoGP™.
The FIM MiniGP World Series is set to welcome the FIM MiniGP Czech Republic Series in 2024. As a replacement for the Alpe Adria Series, this addition will run both a 160cc and 190cc Series on launch this season – offering young riders in Czechia a golden opportunity to embark on their journey on the Road to MotoGP™.
Czechia has a rich history in motorcycle racing and the FIM MiniGP Czech Republic Series will offer new opportunities for aspiring riders from the country, before the Northern Talent Cup provides even more opportunities further up the Road to MotoGP™.
As ever, the top performers in the FIM MiniGP Czech Republic Series will have the chance to race at the FIM MiniGP World Final in 2024, where they will compete alongside the best riders from other Series, with possibilities of further advancements on the Road to MotoGP™. This initiative continues to demonstrate the commitment to grass roots equality, developing young talent and fostering the next generation of world-class motorcycle racers.
FIM President Jorge Viegas: “The FIM MiniGP Series is one of the greatest successes from both the FIM and Dorna. It was created mainly as the first step for the young riders all over the world to step into the Road to MotoGP. This year we had 17 FMNs represented in the Final in Valencia and in 2024 we should reach an even higher number of Series in this big event, including the Czech Republic. That’s why we congratulate ACCR for joining the FIM MiniGP Series and for sure we will see great champions arising from this competition.”
Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta: “The FIM MiniGP World Series is proving a fantastic project for young riders around the world, and it’s great to see a new Series launch in the Czech Republic. We look forward to welcoming the top finishers to the 2024 World Final and then following their journeys on the Road to MotoGP
