190cc Class: A Champion’s Grit

The 190cc series saw intense battles across three races. Alvaro Lucas, the reigning Champion, faced early challenges in damp conditions, finishing P4 in Race 1 as Italy’s Lorenzo Fino claimed victory, followed by Germany’s Robin Siegert and Australia’s Bodie Paige.

Fino continued his dominant form, winning Race 2, with Siegert in P2 and Lucas securing a crucial P3 finish to keep his title hopes alive. Everything came down to the double-points Super Final, where Lucas delivered a masterclass in dry conditions, taking the win and earning 50 points.

At the final tally, Lucas claimed the 190cc title with a 13-point lead over Fino, who finished P2, and Siegert in P3. The UK’s Ethan Sparks impressed with a P2 finish in the Super Final, securing fourth in the Championship, while Malaysia’s Qabil Irfan, the 2023 160cc Champion, rounded off the top five.

160cc Class: Rising Stars Shine

In the 160cc category, Japan’s Waku Kunitate dominated early with victories in both Race 1 and Race 2 under tricky damp conditions. Teammate Hayato Chishiki and Italy’s Maicol Colazzo rounded off the podium in Race 1, while Italy’s Daniel Putorti and Malaysia’s Airel Marzuki shone in Race 2.

The Super Final, held on a damp track, saw Putorti clinch a sensational victory, earning 50 points. Diego Gonzalez from the Latin America Series made history with a P2 finish, securing third in the standings. Despite finishing P4 in the Super Final, Kunitate’s consistent performance throughout the event ensured he captured the 160cc title by a narrow six-point margin over Putorti.

With action-packed races and incredible talent on display, the 2024 FIM MiniGP World Series Final delivered drama, skill, and excitement. Congratulations to Alvaro Lucas and Waku Kunitate for their phenomenal achievements and to every rider who made this event a celebration of future racing stars.
